Photographs: Love by Design

This year it was important to be relaxed about our expectations for the Holiday Season but it was also gratifying and comforting to do the heartwarming traditions that were still possible. Christmas morning we heard the annual sirens and saw the familiar smiles of Santa and his volunteer fireman helpers waving and welcoming the day for all of the community. Normally, they would greet everyone with a handshake, a pat on the back, a gift bag of fruit, and a box of candy. Some years each young child would receive a small gift. This year, socially distant, I was even happier to see them and hear them driving down our street. The neighbors outside waving and cheering Merry Christmas! Pure Joy.
